This was a fast reaction troubleshooting/diagnostic call for a malfunctioning dishwasher. The technician arrived in the early evening and relatively quickly diagnosed the malfunction. He stated that Virginia Appliance Repair will get back to me within one to two business days with repair options and costs. Given that this was on a Friday evening and that this was at the end of a (probably) very long day for the technician, we appreciate his persistence and willingness to complete the call and not reschedule. I would recommend Virginia Appliance Repair LLC for any appliance repair. Gulilat, the service technician, was very knowledgeable and great to work with. He made sure the job was completed correctly. And his team was very responsive - when I called and no one answered, I immediately received a text message saying someone would be in contact with me and shortly after that they called me back.

Great communication and service. Tech knew what they were doing. Kept up to date via email. Easy to schedule via text. Didn’t soak me for parts (~20% upcharge which is reasonable). For washer board repair/replacement it was about $500 ($110 for diagnosis and $170 for the repair), $200 for the board, and then taxes and credit card fee. Yes it’s expensive but keep in mind repair shops have to support their overhead, IT system, call intake staff, insurance, etc. while paying people a decent wage and benefits.
