I went to the Windham office looking for a replacement part for my central vac power head. We put in the central vac in 1980. I thought it was a standard part and I could not remember if it was a Sears power head or a replacement. He said the part was not standard, doubted that the part was still available, thought I would need a new replacement, but suggested I bring in the power head for him to look at. Upon viewing the power head, he immediately recognized the brand that went out of business decades ago and stopped production on their parts. Now I was faced with having to buy a new one $$$$, yikes. Then he said to wait a minute, maybe he has one from another manufacturer that might work. Ten minutes later he handed me the power head fixed $. I don't need vacuum cleaner repairs very often, but when I do, I'll go to the Vacuum Doctor in N. Windham.
