Look over every detail. We had a designer draw and design our kitchen. The designer went with me to their showroom to pick out colors and door finishes. We chose Maple Latte for the perimeter and Sage Green for the island. Trumbull gave me a sample of each color (first picture). After making our selections, the designer left Trumbull a cad drawing of the layout for detailed pricing. The first mistake was caught when Trumbull came to measure for the cabinets. The designer's cad drawings detailed double stacked uppers that reached the ceiling. Trumbull incorrectly had quoted us for single uppers that didn't reach the ceiling. Trumbull sent a 3d rendering of the kitchen layout (closeup in photo 2). I paid for the cabinets trusting that Trumbull had everything documented correctly as dictated in our showroom meeting. The cabinets arrived in Maple Rye (photo 4). A stark HUGE difference from Maple Latte (photo 3). Larry made it clear that they were not liable and not going to offer any suggestions to make this better. He left the conversation knowing I was unhappy and stuck with a kitchen I didn't order or want. When trying to reason with him, I made mention that if I were to make a mistake in my industry (weddings/banquets), I would make it right because that is how I choose to conduct business. It's what I expect from a company who has been around over 100 years. He responded "you're comparing this to a $35 meal?". My designer educated me that the program they use for rendering, 2020, has several different color finishes available. If they had believed us to pick Maple Rye, an unfinished blonde look, they would have chosen a light color cabinet for the rendering. This morning, Larry also told me that placing a deposit over the phone was like signing a legally binding contract. My attorney told me that is not true. As of now, Larry with Trumbull said they aren't going to do anything to remedy this. We paid about 30k for these cabinets. I was curious to see if others had issues on the BBC's website. Trumbull Industries had a C+ rating though their website states they have an A+ rating. They are not accredited with the BBC. If you're looking, I would definitely take my business to Cleveland, Pittsburgh or the Amish.
