I've always been more than satisfied anytime I needed help with any of my computer issues. The last time I stopped in to get help with my wife's laptop issues the owner spent at least a half an hour helping us out. When I asked how much I owed he said don't worry about it. Good luck trying to get that kind of service anywhere else. It ain't happening.
Edit: I wasn’t able to make a phone call due to no cell phone, regardless, I did not know it was going to be $150 that wasn’t communicated until after the job was done. And I did not know that the data didn’t transfer I haven’t been able to check the drive due to not having a computer this entire time. Now that I have a new computer I attempted to get my files. This is when I realized there was nothing on the drive, and the computer I had serviced was disposed of a month or so after it was serviced.
As someone who knows nothing about computers and you guys having the knowledge of this possibly happening, I should have been informed to check the drive ASAP to make sure everything was there, or it should have been double checked before I even paid. I would have gladly gone out of my way to find a way to check- but I trusted you all to do the job because you guys are experts and I am not
Old: Charged me $150 to move data from one computer to a hardrive I provided- come to find out it none of the data they supposedly transferred was on my new hard drive. So I basically paid them $150 for nothing
The icing on top is that they didn’t tell me it was going to cost me $150
Very professional and friendly, up-front pricing, quick turnaround, and the expense was more than fair—nothing but the best compliments for this business. I definitely trust their work and will refer them. Just FYI, Geek Squad wouldn't even try to help me, but Greg and Michael literally saved my life's work.
My husband's gaming PC crashed one night and the next morning we took it to True Blue Computers. Michael and Paul were both very knowledgable and kind. Within the same day, they determined it was an issue with RAM and installed new RAM for us, then ran tests to make sure everything was running smoothly. We haven't had an issue since. I can't recommend Michael and Paul at True Blue Computers enough! Definitely the place to go for any computer repair needs.
Unfortunately, my laptop was soaked in water and wouldn’t turn back on even after four days. We brought it to this shop. The owner was very friendly and honest. He said the technician would open it up to assess the damage, but it's likely not worth repairing, as the cost might exceed the value of the laptop. However, if that was the case and it couldn’t be repaired, they could help recover the data and save it to a USB drive or move it to a replacement laptop.
We left the laptop there and received a few calls from the technician the next day to confirm some details, provide updates on the progress and give a quote for labor. We were able to pick it up the same day. I really liked how communicative and transparent they are.
The disk and battery were removed, the data was transferred to a USB, and the owner suggested we hold onto them—as well as the charger—in case our future replacement laptop is the same brand. He also gave us some recommendations on local restaurants.
Overall, it was a great experience and thr pricing was reasonable. (There were also a couple of cute dogs in the shop.)
