If I could put less than one star I would by how horrible their service is. I put in a request through my cat insurance's roadside assistance to get a tow to a mechanic and this was the company that was assigned. Took over an hour to be "arriving soon" and no one answered any of phone my calls. I will never use this place to get a tow or any other service for that matter. Such a waste of time, do not come here.
I was stranded and Triangle Transmission was assigned the tow through a club I belong to. They never showed, wouldn't answer the phone, and finally the tow was assigned to another company that responded promptly. I was stuck for three extra hours in the 90 degree weather. Not a great day.
On May 27th, I experienced issues with my vehicle's transmission. The following morning, I searched for nearby transmission repair shops and came across Triangle Transmissions. They arranged to pick up my vehicle from my home, purportedly diagnosing the transmission issue as requiring a complete rebuild. During this process, one of the technicians expressed interest in purchasing my 2017 Chevrolet Impala, which is in excellent condition with no exterior or interior damage, and offered me $1,000.
To ensure that I received a thorough evaluation, I decided to consult an additional transmission repair shop. Upon inspection, they identified that the only problem was a cracked transmission line, which I was able to repair for $400. In contrast, Triangle Transmissions had quoted me $4,200 for a transmission rebuild and attempted to purchase my vehicle at a significantly undervalued price.
I strongly advise caution when considering service from Triangle Transmissions, as my experience suggests they may not offer fair evaluations or pricing for repairs.
***This review is specifically regarding the Tow Services provided by Triangle Towing as I have no experience with them as an Auto Repair Shop. I can say, however, that when calling the shop, they have been pleasant, courteous, and informative on the phone.***
In early March, I experienced some issues with my car to the extent that i was not comfortable driving it to my Mechanic. I called my insurance provider and requested a tow to the Shop. I fully expected that it might take up to 2 hours to have someone dispatched to my home, especially since it was not an emergency. Well... after 3 hours, I got concerned and a bit irritated. As the 4th hour approached, I contacted the Tow service from the contact information provided by my insurance and found that there had been an issue with communications between the two entities. The dispatcher was SUPER apologetic and had a truck to me in "literally" less than 15 minutes after hanging up.
The Driver came, physically pushed my vehicle out to the street in order to wench it up onto the bed, then beat me to the shop located across town.
It was a long morning, but I was pleased with the service and response time after they actually received the call.
The follow up to this happened about a week later after getting my vehicle back from my Mechanic. After driving the car home from the shop with no issues... the next morning on my way to work, I stopped for gas and the car would not start after refueling. Unfortunately it was 6:30 in the morning and I wieghed the option of calling my insurance provider again or calling Triangle Towing.
Well, Triangle didn't open until 8:30 am. But based upon the quality of the service they provided previously, I decided to push my vehicle out away from the pump and park it... go inside, have a coffee, a sweet roll and wait for them to open.
When I called, the dispatcher remembered me from the previous week, quoted a fair, flat rate to "again" take my across town and assured my that a driver would be there within 15 minutes of our call.
What do you know?.... HE WAS!! As a matter of fact, the driver came DIRECTLY to me from another tow instead of taking it back to their shop. Saying that he didn't want me to wait any longer than I had to.
Miraculously, the car started as we went to hook it up and I wound up driving it to the shop myself that morning. Needless to say, the car is completely fixed now and runs like a Swiss watch. (Shout out to Black Forest Technik)
Long story but... I'd definitely reach out to Triangle Towing if I needed Tow Service in the Raleigh/Durham area.
Thanks guys!!!
Please note: The reduction of 1 star has more to do with communications failure, not the quality of services provided.
They sold me a bad engine. Paid over 5.5k and have the same check engine codes. Asked for paperwork on the new engine and they could not provide paper work.
Also, after they placed the new engine, I heard a knocking sound. I went to go check my oil and there were 3 bolts sitting on my front windshield. It gets better, there was NO OIL IN MY ENGINE.
I went to go get an oil change, and they found one of my transmission lines being held up by the frame of the car. Not to mention my fog lights and hitch lights do not work now.
I went back to the shop explaining everything, and they said, "Good help is hard to come by". Made excuses about everything.
PLEASE. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! ***WARNING***
