Wasted so much of my time. Mr. Tilley told me the car was safe to drive when it took about 40 seconds with pedal all the way down to get the car to go 30 mph. I got the sense that Mr. Tilley was annoyed with me and didn’t take me seriously. I did ask him for updates every morning but that was only because I was not local and hotels make you check out or pay for another at 11 AM. So I needed to know if I should pack up my bags because my car ready or buy another night because the car isn’t ready. So yeah I did contact him every day I was in Vegas but I only left my friend’s place and came to Vegas because he told me the car was ready. I was polite every time I asked too. He didn’t not seem sympathetic or understanding of my situation or the urgency at all. I can already tell that the two weeks I spent in Vegas alone because Mr.Tilley told me the car was ready when it clearly needed so much more work, has such a formative experience for me. I have become so angry and jaded from this experience. Waiting for my car was not a fun vacation for me it was a waste of my time and money as I don’t drink or gamble. I don’t know anyone in Vegas so I got extremely and deeply lonely while waiting. Whole thing was just sad. He said he drove the car himself and it worked but when I got in every warning light was on and the car was in what I have now learned is called limp mode. The workers at the shop I brought my car to afterwards all laughed when I told them that my previous mechanic had told me the car was safe to drive. But he acted like I was being bratty by asking him to look again. I got the sense that I had offended him somehow and he just wasn’t telling me. The second star is that he did replace the engine, which is why the car was brought in in the first place. But he failed to notice other problems and he became hard to communicate with.
