Sterling Auto Repair

PLEASE READ AND SEE THE RECEIPTS… My car was sputtering. I dropped it off and was initially told it was the brake light switch. Then, they changed that and my car was still having the same issue. They recommended to change for purge valve and temp control sensor. Cool. When I dropped my car off, no service lights were on. I picked it up and I get 2 blocks down the road and my maintenance light comes on. I called the following day and was told to bring it in..I brought it back. Roger said, service was just done on the car and it needed to be reset. I can’t recall if I brought it back one or twice, I feel like it was twice, I have one receipt from having to Uber from there. But the final answer from Roger at Sterling was that they had done the repairs, the computer needed to be reprogrammed and there wasn’t anything else they could or WOULD do. I took my car to a Ford certified mechanic and here’s what happened. The brake light switch was either defective or not installed properly. See the pictures attached including codes from Ford’s computer taken on Friday, 5/31. REGRETABLY, I read some reviews after this experience and a few state…they didn’t do anything… I have not reached out to them for resolution, I don’t want them near my car again. Especially after they refused to provide any additional resolution before I had to pay another mechanic.
