I chose SoCo from a recommendation by my insurance company and made a bad choice using SoCo to work on my home. The entire experience was exhausting and a constant struggle with SoCo to make things right with all the mistakes the workers made on my home. What should have taken a week to complete took over two months to complete. I gave SoCo a chance to come and see the remaining damage, but, they never contacted me with they said they would after my last call to them. I waited nearly two months before writing this review. There is no direct full time supervision on the work crews and a “HUGE” language barrier between the home owner and workers if you can’t speak Spanish. Initially I was greeted each day by a crew supervisor named Brandon. He was mostly interested in knowing if my insurance company had sent me the insurance check yet and asked me every day if I had been paid. It was very annoying with Brandon asking me daily if I was paid or not. Additionally Brandon is a habitual liar and tried to hoodwink me with false information on how the work was done. I had my roof replaced, gutters replaced, porch posts replaced, and some siding. Each area needed to be redone due to terrible craftsmanship. Brandon would tell me my crooked gutters and siding was supposed to look that way. None of the work was level. It was all crooked, bent, or missing parts. Everything had to be redone at least once with a few things needing replaced two or more times. SoCo is a fly by night company. I truly believe the crews sent to my home dont work full time for SoCo with each crew having different skill levels based on the terrible work done to my home. The work on my home has since been completed but not to standard. I still have a hole in my roof that’s covered by shingles, the top portion of my roof wasn’t completed as promised, and there’s bent and crooked parts that was never repaired properly. The head supervisor Donny did all he could and gave me a small refund, however, what was refunded to me cannot cover the cost to fix the hole in my roof and roof ventilation installed as promised with the initial estimate. I should have used Gold Medal Roofing instead of SoCo. I watched Gold Medal replace several homes roofs and siding in my neighborhood with direct supervision and noticed the work was top quality. It was stressful dealing with the SoCo workers every time they worked on my home and they didnt like when I pointed out their mistakes when working on my home. Some crews were argumentative with me when I pointed out the mistakes. I know I may of been a pain in the ass, but this is my home and I wanted my home to look like it did before the hail damaged my home. Instead I was left with low quality craftsmanship. If you want to save yourself a lot of headaches and you dont live near Murfreesboro, choose a different company that’s local to your area. See attached photos. That is the SoCo workers completed work and had I not said anything, that is what I would have been left with.
