I was focused on men's shoes only. Selection was great, unless you have wide feet. We found that to be a more challenging task. I did eventually find a pair that works. The store is kind of cluttered in the isles. They did have a TV playing a children's show that my toddler could sit at for a bit while his boring parents could find shoes. Prices were par with other shoe stores. Employees were friendly but not exactly thrilled to help you, I didn't need any service besides checking out so I didn't mind.
My experience was extremely UNCOMFORTABLE. First time shopping here because my mom needed comfortable work shoes (she's a teacher). Walking into the store, no one greeted us. It wasn't the end of the world didn't care much at the time. I went to look at some all black adidas and the employee in the aisle avoided eye contact, and kept inching down the aisle as I was going down the aisle then she eventually hurried out the aisle like she was afraid to interact. Again, I didn't mind at the time but took note this is the type of store you go into and don't ask for help. What took the cake, I was carrying my mother's shoes to the register. The three employees were huddled at the register facing the back of the store (no doubt a team meeting) but the same woman who ran out the aisle turned around looked me dead in my eyes and didn't acknowledge me AT ALL and didn't tell anyone that I was right there. The woman next to her noticed me eventually and said, "I am sorry. I will be right there" and she was. At this point, I was so off put and confused by the other employees actions that I was visibly and vocally angry. The woman checking me out apologized and said sorry about her behavior and told me she didn't help because she didn't know how to ring up people. My question is... does she know how to speak? She could have let them know I was standing there. When my mother or I am spending money... the very least I expect is to be acknowledged at the register.
Was at the store on Sunday October 7th in the afternoon, looking to buy myself and my two boys shoes. Walked in 5 employees standing at/sitting on the counter; on their phones looking down not helping a single guest. EVERY. SINGLE. Aisle. Was trashed! Shoes everywhere, garbage everywhere, couldn’t walk through aisles without stepping over or tripping over boxes or garbage. ZERO staff on the sales floor helping guests, watched a woman come out of the back room with a container of Mack-n-cheese proceeded up front and sat on the counter and ate her lunch. Not a single can I help you find anything? Or how are you doing? Staff were listening to music from their phones scrolling through social media and didn’t even acknowledge people were in the store. Having a husband that is a manager in retail he wouldn’t allow our money to be spent in a store that wasn’t deserving of business!! Therefore due to the lack of professionalism and courtesy and absolute mess of the store nothing was purchased, nor will there ever be unless something changes! I have photos of staff sitting around on the counter as well as proof as just how poor these employees portrayed themselves and the store!
Management better take a look at their cameras and retrain!!!
