Saber

As a candidate for the in the EBB Earthquake Brace and Bolt Program, Saber was one of the recommended contractors. Rob our design specialist was very knowledgeable and thorough. In the beginning, Saber was by far the most responsive company we contacted for this job. Project Coordinator and Logistics was great, helping us navigate the CA EBB Grant process. While the city permitting process was lengthy, Saber kept us looped in. On day of our appointment, Sammy and Nestor called when they were on the way, showed up 10 minutes early, did their walk-through while explaining what they would do, then went straight to work. The team kept us informed of progress and sent pics soon after the job finished. So, why a 3 instead of 5 star review? After retrofit was done 12/16 and final permit was signed off on in mid-January, getting an appropriate invoice uploaded to EBB portal is challenging. Administrative cuts in February ultimately resulted in lengthy delays of EBB reimbursement. So unfortunate. Controller did his best under the circumstances.

Sammy kept me in the loop as to estimated time of arrival. When he showed up with Nestor, Sammy went over the work details with me and answered all my questions. After a quick setup, they didn't waste any time to crawl underneath my house and quickly got to work. They worked nonstop the whole day, got the job done, and cleaned up after themselves. I really liked the pictures Sammy provided to me of the retrofit upgrades. I can view them a my leisure. Overall, good job done. Andrew was the Estimator. He spent some time underneath my house for a thorough inspection. Then he went over the retrofit upgrade details & costs with me on the spot. He answered all my questions, and said I can call him directly with any other questions I may have. He wrote up the the proposal, and I didn't hesitate to sign it. I felt confident with Sabre to get the job done correctly and stand behind their work.

Had an amazing experience and we are so glad we went with Saber for our foundation project. Sammy and Nestor were an INCREDIBLE team, definitely ask for them if you can! They went above and beyond in ever facet of this project from being very clear in communicating every thing that they were doing, they were extremely punctual, they were straightforward on change orders, and their quality of work is off the charts. I’m not even joking when I say that the job they did on our raised foundation made it into almost a livable space 🤣. Would highly recommend anyone considering using Saber for their foundation work, especially Sammy and Nestor who were a delight to work with!
