Rochester Patio and Landscape

I’ll start by saying you get what you pay for. Dylan came and gave us a quote that was half of everyone else. It seemed like a no brainer. And boy were we wrong. The day of the project Dylan said a guy called in but he would still be able to complete the project. Dylan covered our basement window with concrete which now needs to be replaced. The entire patio slopes towards our house causing water pooling. He buried our gutters underneath the patio which now (if not crushed) just drain underneath the patio. Dylan enclosed in the patio around the foundation of our addition instead of covering it after he told my wife he could go over it. In doing so it caused water to leak into my addition every single time it rained. The steps are not centered (pictured below). The steps also have jagged, unfinished edges. In our contract it’s stated he would remove the deck. Dylan took the deck out of its place and left it in our backyard stating we had to get rid of it. We then had to buy a dumpster and throw the deck away ourselves. He left several dozen nails in our yard and caused a hazard for our dog. He caused significant damage to our lawn. Dylan covered our house and hose in cement. We have picture and video proof of all of this happening. Thank god for home security systems. I’m sure he will respond to this and dispute it like he does every other negative review. Contacting Dylan to fix all of these issues, among more, it seemed to be an impossible task. Eventually we had to take Dylan to court over these issues. Dylan never showed to court and we were paid in full. He went by Dylan at the time (may of 2024) now seems to go by Trevor. However after looking at his picture, it is clearly him. Please do not be fooled and DO NOT HIRE ROCHESTER PATIO AND LANDSCAPE! ***reply to owners response*** My gutter does not have a pop up in my yard, blatant lie. I added a picture with a level that shows the egregious slope towards the house. I also added pictures of our texts and you never showed. You stated we got a full refund…lol. You make sound as if you voluntarily gave us money back. We had to sue you to get SOME not all of the money back. I also added a picture of the contract that shows deck removal. You knew you did such a bad job that you didn’t even show up to court to defend your work. As to why we posted the review now, our lawyer told us it would be best to wait until after we received our funds. Which even after we won the courts case we needed to seize the money from your account because you would not pay. We then forgot about it until recently a friend called me because he received a quote from you. That prompted me to leave the review so people get a fair chance to understand who they are hiring. This entire situation could have been avoided with communication from you. You decided to go this route. I wish you nothing but the best, and I hope you improve on your practices.

I’ve noticed my review is no longer on this companies site so I’m writing another one because people need to be aware of who they are hiring for their project. I had hired Dylan to pour and finish a patio for me, a pretty simple job. When I showed up on installation day their was three guys, (must be his buddies that need a few bucks) pouring, doing a quick bow float and rushing to get out of their, so much they squealed the tires leaving, and almost got into an accident in front of my house with other cars. I have a total disappointment in the quality. Unfinished areas, waves for water to settle and almost nonexistent and inconstant broom finish. After calling Dylan to complain he showed up the next day and was defective of any areas that I was concerned about, and quite unprofessional Total disappointment in this guy and his company. Now we have to live with it or pay again to try and get it to look nice. This seems to be how this guy leaves it with people. Total lack of integrity. Warning to others, don’t be another one of these guys victims. His Google review rating is a joke.
