I've relied on Howard and the folks at One Stop for decades at three different locations in Orono. That probably says it all in terms of customer satisfaction!! From planned projects to emergency repairs, the personal attention given to each situation is truly remarkable. Long after a job is complete, the peace of mind that comes from knowing they are right down the road remains. I am most grateful.
I have been a customer here for some time. Used various services quite frequently. The quality of work has been great and on top of that, they have done a large variety of tasks with great quality work. Prices have been competitive... However, they just recently changed to fixed rate service this has caused them to not be competitive for simple tasks. For example, they tried to charge me five hundred dollars to install two faucets, in a house that already had modern plumbing ( its 1 hours worth of work) if you need something simple done, make sure you do that with someone who charges by the hour, or prepare for some price shock. Before this, they were a great example of a "one stop" i could go to them for everything. Now you'll need to find someone else for the simpler tasks.
I have zero plumbing experience and needed a bunch of work done to a shower in my home. Upon first search on Google I found One Stop Home Repair. The office staff communicated with me throughout the process. They even texted to say they had a guy in the area for an earlier appointment. Great experience. Eric the plumbing repair man was a pleasure to work with. He was personable and explained everything thoroughly. He completed the job thoroughly and the price was very reasonable. I'll be recommending One Stop Home Repair to everyone I come across that needs help with something they can't fix or don't have time to fix around the house. What a great service to have a phone call away! Thank you all at One Stop.
Maybe it's called one stop because they stop once for $49 estimate charge (first one for me that was not a free estimate) and that's the last you hear from them. I had an estimate appointment Nov. 12 for porch replacement, drywall repair, heat pump installation and have heard nothing as of Nov. 22. The $49 I spent for a nonexistent estimate was definitely overpriced!
