Unfortunately, my dad saw their Spanish guy purposely broke our old fridge parts, trying to force us to pay more. I would avoid this company at all costs. Unless you believe a different person is still good. Still won't risk the headaches though.
We were referred to Omega Appliance by Thor Ovens to schedule an appointment for service. We scheduled a service appointment with Omega for Thursday 3/9 between 11AM-12 PM. They never called and didn't show up. We called 3 times and kept getting a promise that they would look into it and call us back and they never did.
I received a call on Friday from them indicating they weren't sure what happened, apologized and said the Owner would personally come on Monday and she would call in the morning. We didn't receive a call so I called. She said he would be over around 1. He wasn't there and they called us to let us know he'll be there between 1:45 and 2. We rescheduled our kids' appointment because it was clearly going to interfere. He never showed up and no one called.
I called at 3:25 indicating no one showed up again. She said I'll call the owner and call you back. He should have been there. No call back. At 4:05 PM I called back to just say don't worry about it, we'll find someone else and no one picked up.
We haven't had a stove in 3 weeks. What a wretched way to treat people. The only reason we called them was because Thor Kitchen referred us to them and this is the experience provided to a new customer? Wow. You all should be ashamed of treating anyone the way you've treated us.
Everyone who works there is very friendly and will try to work with you to a certain extent. However 4/7 appliances I had bought didn't work properly and needed to be repaired right away. Which they would come out to do, but after the last batch of appliances and plugging them in for the first time and them not working, I didn't want them to be repaired because if this is the first time they are being plugged in then who knows how long they would last, I just wanted my money back.
I spent $2700 and told them I would take $2000 back, they are a small business and I wanted to show there was no hard feelings because they were friendly and I know would be willing to fix things that came broken. But the fact is, my goal was not to purchase broken appliances and be on top of them to schedule service calls and have what should be a very simple transaction turn into this unnecessarily long drawn out process. They offered me $1000 to take the appliances back and frankly the offer was insulting. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau a week ago with no response from them. I have no problem personally with any of the employees or the owner, but I didn't shop at at used appliance store to get my taxes done, I wanted to get appliances that were working without any issues but that has proven with over 50% of the 7 I have bought from them to not be possible.
