What a great experience - Ben the owner was very knowlegeable and helpful- when I picked up a John Juzek 1/2 Violin. The violin had some damage as it was used and he pointed it out right away before I even said anything. I even forgot the strap before leaving and he had it waiting for me when I returned. I would recommend to anyone looking to purchase an instrument. Solid store.
I find it hard to believe theres good reviews based on the 5 minutes I had speaking with the owner. After being told no one really needs more then 1 lesson a week, and no one should be learning 2 instruments at the same time, and how I purchased the wrong violin and should have bought from their store instead, I walked out extremely insulted and disappointed. I've played piano for 12+ years and was looking to learn some basic fundamentals skipped from being self taught and really was hoping for more in depth violin lessons but shame this is the way the owner treats potential students. Go elsewhere because if this is what I got from 5 minutes... I find it hard to believe theres good reviews based on the 5 minutes I had speaking with the owner. My kids will be learning from a more patient human that will take the small amount of time it takes to understand someone.
Amazing little music store with a wonderful, low key, and patient staff. They fixed up a very old and banged up Tenor Saxophone for a reasonable price with a speedy turn around. It plays amazing now! Good prices on supplies too. Got my alto saxophone up and running for a good price. Highly recommend
I was interested in possibly purchasing a Cannonball tenor saxophone to add to my Cannonball alto. Steve was very helpful in showing me not only the Cannonball choices but the many used saxophones they had on hand. I was able to try out the saxophone I was interested in and then purchased. I used to go to another music store in Wheatfield for my saxophone accessories and repairs but the owner retired and closed the store. I am glad to see Northtown concentrates on woodwinds and now have a place to shop when needed. Professional and friendly visit along with some nice advice. Thanks.
