Very unhappy customer here! I'm very disappointed in Northern Tool and Equipment's customer service!! I came in to this store to purchase a broadcast weed sprayer on 9/17/25 and spoke to a sales associate for approximately 30 minutes prior to making my purchase. I told this employee what I was trying to do and that I was concerned at the price of a particular model. I was assured that the weed sprayer had a 60 day return window on it and if I tried it and decided to go another way I would be able to return it. Fast forward a month and I decided I would return the sprayer and get a cheaper backpack sprayer instead. However the store manager declined my return and accused me of trying to "rent a weed sprayer tool for free!" I tried to explain to the manger that I had been assured by one of his own employees that I would be able to return the sprayer if I did not like it, but he brushed me off dismissively and said, "yeah, yeah, I know what you're doing. We don't rent tools here." I would not have bought that sprayer if returning it was not an option. I have limited space in my garage and need to be able to store it long term. I thought a backpack sprayer might work just as well and was leaning towards getting one of those at NT instead, but the sales associate assured me that returns were allowed, so I bought the pricier model. It may be the case that the sales associate I spoke with was simply mistaken about the return policy for weed sprayers (which is not a big deal), but the arrogant and rude behavior of the store manager was despicable. He assumed ill intent on my part and treated me like a thief. I have reached out to the District Manager at Northern Tool in the meantime and hope that this review will encourage him to finally respond to me! Very disappointed in Northern Tool and Equipment's customer service!! Edit: it's been months since I posted this review and sent multiple emails to the district manager. No response. I wish I could lower my review to zero stars. Never shopping at this outlet again.

We have just had an awful experience with Northern Tool in Huntsville. bought a sprayer from them on Monday and could not get it to work. Took it back today with everything in it for them to look at. They finally figured it out, but when we was packing it back in the box, we asked for our battery back and they told us we didn’t bring one. We know we did, so they had to look at the camera and we showed them they took it out, but they refused to give it back. Don’t buy nothing from them because you will not get good service.

Last year I bought a gasoline blower. I accidentally filled it with regular gasoline instead of 2-cycle fuel mix, and it would no longer start. I took it back to Northern Tools. Their mechanic, David, said that the device was damaged beyond repair, and it was not covered by manufacturer’s warranty. He was very sympathetic, and he suggested that I call the manufacturer. I did so without receiving a reply. Several months later I realized that I had purchased an extended warranty. I took the blower back, and they gave me a new one at no additional charge.
