I have gotten both my alto saxophone and soprano saxophone overhauled here by Bird and they genuinely feel like brand new horns. This store and their website is by far the best place to purchase any equipment you need, could not recommend more!
I have a Buffet R13 that is over 30 years old. I took it to Meridian for some needed work, not sure if it was worth repairing because of its age. Sarah E. did fantastic work on my instrument. It plays better than it has in years. She also made some helpful recommendations that led to a new set-up. Highly recommend Meridian Winds!
Meridian Winds is absolutely incredible, I drive from 3.5 hours away to work with Sarah, she is absolutely incredible. She overhauled both of my Clarinet’s which has been a complete game changer for me. She cares so much about her craft and it really shines through in her work. The shop also has anything and everything you could possibly want to browse or buy as a woodwind player (huge selections of reeds, ligatures, instrument stands, and other accessories too!) P.S. the shop dog Pepper is the most iconic and adorable corgi in the world. It is well worth a visit just to see that little guy :D
Absolute professionals. Been there twice recently, first I spent a good hour or so trying out various mouthpieces and got a good deal on a Theo Wanne. Then I brought in my alto for a long overdue tune up. Quick turnaround from Sam. The key work feels so much better. Feel blessed that the only woodwind shop in the area is such a quality one.
Small, local shop with super knowledgeable and helpful staff. We were gifted a instrument and the shop manager did not hesitate to research what it was and give it a good once over to see whether it needed repair. Lots of great accessories in stock and cheaper then online options! We will definitely be back!
