We stopped in at this rapid lube shop in Artesia New Mexico called Masterlube at 115 S First St. when we were on vacation in the area in May of 2025. The staff, although fairly fast made a number of mistakes on my van. First they offered me the wrong oil filter, so I had to go to the local Napa auto parts to purchase the correct filter for my truck, which cost me an additional $15 on top of the oil change charge of $76.60 bringing the cost to $91.60 US$ or about $124 CDN. Secondly they stripped off the threads on the oil drain plug (a new one) by over tightening it, and overtightened the oil filter to the point it was destroyed getting it o... The new drain plug had to be replaced with another when I did my next oil change. When I did the business the courtesy of calling them to let them know of the issues I was having with their workmanship, the Manager (Terry) wasn't willing to do any thing for me, refusing to cover the minimal cost of the $15.74 drain plug which I had to buy after they ruined my last drain plug. It took a lot of extra time and effort to change the oil after this shop screwed it up. This business does not care about the damage they do to your vehicle and are even refusing to listen to a paying customer, who just wanted to help them improve. Go else where because this company does not adequately train their staff, they have a very bad attitude when confronted with the damage they caused, and refuse to do anything to correct the damage to the customers vehicle. The owner was so rude he said we don't care, knock your socks off with a review, as we will not stand behind our workmanship. Therefore I had to write this review to warn others of the damage they caused on my vehicle due to sloppy rushed work by untrained staff. Go to some other shop as there are good ones out there but this one is no good at all at what they do, based on my experience with them. When they wreck things, they will not stand behind their service or lack thereof, no matter the cost.

Went for an oil change and it was easy and fast. Less than 10 minutes for the full service. We went early and had a 2 minute wait! Absolutely Amazing!

Great service Professional And quick too Only complaint Is I asked them to put DEF In my truck. They didn’t do it, and I had to go back Charge my card again They did this twice in a row But other than that Very good experience

Went here twice over a year ago for an oil change. Eventually came to bite me later because I didn't think what they did was a big issue. It has already costed me $136 after tax for 1 repair job and another soon to be $241+ tax in repair work due to their poor oil change service. My car was fine before I took it there. I'm sure no one will take any accountability but I will never bring my car here again.
