I took two devices to Vic, and he was able to repair one and not the other, so I took the second device to XiRepair in Montgomery, and they informed me that the person who previously worked on that device opened it wrong, thereby damaging the device, and the device is now completely unsalvageable. The only other person who has ever worked on that device was Vic. It's such a shame, because Vic is a very kind person and was very diligent about keeping updated, but it appears I'm going to be out a lot of money because of whatever was done to the device.
