Loud Bros came highly recommended!
From getting a free estimate to scheduling a time to get our garage floor done, every step was very easy and clear. Communication was quick and Jack was very knowledgeable in the product. We are extremely satisfied with the work they did in our garage and couldn’t be happier with the whole process. Our floor turned out even better than expected and has changed the entire look to our garage. Thank you Jack!
The level of service I have received from Loud Brothers in Bloomington has been highly unsatisfactory. I engaged their services to refinish and restain my front deck, with the project scheduled for August 21-22. They arrived on the 21st to complete the initial phase, which included power washing and stripping. However, they failed to appear on the 22nd to complete the sanding and staining. I have contacted the owner (Jack)multiple times via phone and text messages, and although I managed to reach him once, he has yet to respond after over a week. The initial phase of the project has already cost me $450, which was paid as a deposit. Regrettably, I do not recommend Loud Brothers to anyone. 😡
I called Jack and asked for a quote on coating my front patio, garage floor and basement floor as well as sorely needed deck restoration. His crew just finished the deck restoration and coating the front patio and I couldn't be happier!! I'm truly blown away by the difference these two improvements have made and the quality of work. The workers were all very professional and seemed to have great character from the conversations I had with several of them. I had a good feeling about the Loud Bros and they came through for me these past two days. I can't wait to see the results of the garage and basement floors!! To be continued...
I felt really confident in the job after the free estimate and quote from the owner, who was very knowledgeable and personable.
Unfortunately, while I was very flexible with the start dates, the timeline ended up being 3x as long which forced me into a position where I couldn’t be present to oversee the job.
The pressure washing and sanding crew left the deck unfinished (see before photo). When I had inquired about some boards still having holes and the sanding being incomplete, I was told it would be done at a later time, and that they’d just paint around it. I sent a photo, and never heard back about the leftover old paint.
Then, the next day, the staining and painting crew arrived (who were awesome) and began work — before that middle stage or restoration was complete.
While I eventually got some of the weaker wood replaced and stained, you can see parts that never got completely power washed/sanded. So, parts of the deck look and feel amazing, but other parts look rushed and incomplete (i.e., paint droppings, old paint color in between boards, leftover painters tape still along the deck, parts of the deck that feels weak). I’m not sure which crew it was, but trash was also left behind.
While onsite, the crews did a great job of announcing their arrival and departure, but there wasn’t much time to explain progress or assess quality. It was just a “we’re going to need to come back.”
I really wanted to support this business, because they run a heck of an online campaign, but I’m left feeling weird about it.
The extra communication when issues came up on their end (needing to reschedule) was excellent, and then it just turned into short responses, and eventually no response at all.
If I was underbid, I absolutely would’ve loved the opportunity to make it right to ensure a high quality finished product:
I told everyone who would listen that I was getting my deck restored, because I was really excited and proud of the company after that first initial meeting. But now I have friends, family, and other professionals asking me if it’s done, and asking what I paid for it.
I’m not really in a financial position to spend money like this, but I knew my deck needed attention in order for me to get my house on the market to downsize. So, while it looks better than the holes and chipped paint I had before, it looks like a paid a family $300 and a case of beer to simply paint my deck. :(
Unfortunately, now I have to make a payment for 2 years for a finished product I’m not proud of — a monthly investment I felt was needed at first. Now it just feels like a luxury that will haunt me for the next two years. So, for me, I would not recommend this company for deck restoration.
Very timely response to request for estimate. The process was explained and all questions answered. We had several large cracks and a lot of pitting on our garage floor. The guys did a fantastic job and were so helpful and professional. The floor looks perfect! We would highly recommend Loud Bros and we will be using them again!
