Knight was a good company that I used for over 14 years. They had friendly , intelligent people answering the phone and their techs were knowledgeable and experienced. Their rates were also competitive. These are no longer the case since being bought out by Casteel. I will not use them again.
Thomas Muller did a very thorough semi-annual inspection and servicing of the HVAC unit. He was friendly, courteous and respectful of the home. The office did call to let me know the tech was running behind schedule, but still arrived within 20 minutes of the latest time window. I will have to say that a 5 hour time window seems a little too long to wait for a scheduled visit. I have been a customer of Knight AC & Heating for 20+ years and always had a good experience. One thing I've noticed changing since the merger with Casteel is that technicians now "recommend" non-essential add-ons to the system, some of which may be beneficial, but some seem a little over the top to me. Also, it seems they could offer a better discount on the labor if those services were performed while the technician is here anyway on their semi-annual inspection without having to make another trip. But I still feel like they do a very good job of inspecting and servicing the unit, which gives me peace of mind and is worth the annual fee.
Knight is an excellent A/C service company. The owner Joel is very professional and thorough when estimating a job. He makes the process a lot easier. Michael the service tech was on time, and very personable. He explained every step of his inspection and in such a way that I could easily understand. Mike is a definite asset to the company.
Joel with Knight AC and Heating came out and gave us an estimate on replacing our units and installing a zoned system. the price we were quoted was little bit more than others we had come out and give us an estimate. The reason why we chose Knight was the fact that he was very knowledgeable and that he took the time to sit and explain as well as listen to us, He also went thru and measured the length of our ductwork. Which none of the others did and recommend that we downsize our tonnage because of zoning that this would be more efficient. Since that initial install we have had many questions on how to operate it. All the techs including Joel who is the owner have been nothing more than fabulous. They have always been very polite and professional. We also have their yearly service plan. They have always been there for us no matter what. If you someone who will not abandon you after the install go with Knight AC you can really count on them. We do and have not been disappointed. Thank you Knight AC for always being there. Steve K.
