King's Lampshades & Lamp Repair Center

I had someone make me a lamp from an OLD sewing machine&didn't finish cording it, but bc I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it, it sat around and was actually moved from place to place, tipped over a few times, traveled a bit. I then had another handmade torch type light I used daily (bc my apartment is on the dark side w no overhead lights in the living room, this one hung on the wall & is very bright for this reason) die on me & I noticed the wires were hanging down a bit where they hadn't been before... So it was time and I brought them both in. They had no problem working on both handmade lamps, especially the sewing machine one where they had never seen something like that before and I'm sure it was a pain with the whole needing rewiring and it was a skinny swing arm that was added. I like that they called first with the issue & the cost it will be to fix before they continued. They even held off on one while I decided if I wanted to fix it or not. I decided to have them fix both and I'm EXTREMELY happy with the job done on both. Highly recommend and I even brought another antique stand lamp that was rewired wrong by someone else and it's being worked on now. They also knew what the issue was right away with the antique lamp. Very nice people and very nice shop inside as well, with many different types of lighting and just about every glass replacement globe you could find! Definitely letting friends and family know bc some of those gloves are hard to find! Edited to add pics of the FINISHED lamp. King Lamp didn't do the original set up, that was done by a friend... He did, however, re-wire the whole swing arm and added a heavier & newer cord than what was on there and updated the on/off switch & where the bulb sits. The lamp looks much better lit, lol... If I had room, I'd keep it, but I don't... So off to my booth at Cove Antiques she goes for someone to put it to good use!
