Karzen Restoration

Absolutely excellent and timely work. Had a new table heavily and deeply scratched as part of some home remodeling. We really liked this table so I looked around for an expert in high quality work. Alan came highly recommended and I can see why. Polite and willing to work in my time frame for a very fair price. Table looks like it was the day we brought it home. It's great to find someone who both works and acts like a true craftsman of old.

I was lucky enough to find Alan on Google and located not too far from our home. He restored 6 chairs beat up for 20 years by our children. The damage was significant. When he delivered them, I was amazed at how he brought back the original beauty of the wood. They look brand new! He also took care to restore the original strength of the chairs, as they had become wobbly over the years. Alan was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end of the project. His professionalism and quality of workmanship are top notch.

I have always done my own furniture restoration in the past, but I had come across this old Victorian dining table that had obviously been abused. There was actually newspaper print imprinted on the top of the table, most likely from not being used and letting junk sit on top of it for years. The detail on the sides of the table was just gorgeous and I was unable to pass it up, even though I knew restoring it was out of my league. I had met Alan Karzen in the past at Chamber of Commerce meetings and decided I would give him a call. What sold me, without even seeing his work, was that I knew he loved furniture and restoring furniture by the way he spoke. He even said to me, "It is so nice to see somebody with taste for old furniture." The process went flawlessly, from when his staff picked up the table at my OLD house, until they dropped it off at my NEW house. I can not be any happier, nor can my wife. When she saw it, all she could do was gasp and say, "It's beautiful!" Thank you to Alan and his staff for this. You know the saying, "Happy wife, Happy life." Mine just got a lot happier!!!
