Island Motors

I recently took my vehicle to Island Motors because the AC went out in my vehicle on my drive down to HHI from Ohio. Although Robert was quick to make an appt and give an estimate, his estimate was simply price gouging in an attempt to take advantage of somebody on vacation. The estimate was just under $2400. (Personal check or cash only.) I picked up my vehicle and took it to Station One. The AC (compressor, etc) was fixed quickly with a cost under $1300.

Robert is professional and charges fair labor rates. I stopped by his shop on a Tuesday morning with a leaking radiator. He told me that he couldn’t fit me in until Thursday morning. I was able to get by adding coolant to my vehicle until he made the repair. I dropped the vehicle off on Thursday morning and picked it up later that afternoon complete with a new radiator. We make a yearly trip to HHI and I am thankful that I now know a mechanic on the island that I can trust.

While vacationing at HHI, I noticed a nail in a tire on our van. I was nervous I'd pay a premium once any mechanic saw I had out of state license plates. After calling several places, I was able to get my tire repaired that afternoon at Island Motors. I was greeted by Robert and he was able to fix the tire quickly. I feel like I paid a very reasonable price for the quick repair. If you're from out of state, don't look any further and take your vehicle here.
