Review from a mountain biker. The trails here are some of the best I've ridden in the state (outside of WNC). It'll challenge your cardio with steep, technical ascents and your reflexes with equally technical and steep descents. A proper XC trail system. Just use caution in the fall/winter with all the fallen leaves, some of the hidden roots will send you over your bars in a hurry. That said, someone(s) came out and sprayed an obnoxious amount of pink spray paint on EVERY TREE POSSIBLE along the trail where it couldn't be more obvious on where it is you need to go. I'd describe it as bordeline vandalism and it completely ruins the vibe of being in the outdoors. Actions like this are reserved for important intersections and forks in the road and are better suited with some form of signage instead of spray painting trees. I try to get past it every time I ride here, but I can't help but shake my head when I do. I may be being a bit petty and in some areas the spray paint is helpful, but there are areas where it could be helpful but it isn't and leads to less distance and less elevation gain for Strava dorks like me. My 2 cents, still 5 stars. Go Ouside. Have Fun. Be Safe! Cheers!
