Jason came to repair the new GE refrigerator that was installed in my motorhome by the dealership. It took two visits to work out the problem. He was extremely knowledgeable about diagnosing the issue. I highly recommend this company to work on refrigeration issues.
I’m giving two stars instead of one because the very first tech that came out, Chad I think, was amazing. Really nice guy and was ready to fix my issue. I purchased a GE Ultrafast Combo unit from Metro Appliances in Lowell at their New Years sale January 2024. A year into owning it the control lock started locking and unlocking during a load upwards of 40+ times. All kinds of beeping and racket and lock, unlock, lock, unlock, over and over. No problem I thought, because I paid almost $400 for an extended five year warranty. First tech said the control board and door lock needed replaced. No clue what the root problem is, that’s for GE to figure out but I suspect if I can ever get it repaired it will happen again. Anyway, they filed with my extended warranty who initially made it sound like they didn’t even want to approve the claim. I contacted Metro again who helped me get that sorted out. Someone with Meteo talked to Gliedt Appliance and they were informed my parts we set to arrive to them last Monday 10/6/25. I received a text from Gliedt on Wednesday 10/8/25 letting me know I was schedule lid for repair on Friday. I was not going to be home so I asked to please move it to the next Friday 10/17/25, which they did. On 10/15/25 I get a text that my time for the tech to arrive is 8-10 AM on 10/17/25. What happened next you can see in the attached screenshots. At 8:10 that morning a tech sent me a message that they could not locate one of my parts. The parts that arrived MORE than a week earlier. He then went on to tell me he couldn’t find it the night before and yet I was never contacted. I sent those texts and never heard another word from the tech. Around noon I called the main number and talked to a lady who pulled up my info and reported there were no notes above this missing part and she had no idea what was going on. She was going to reach out to the tech and get back to me. That never happened. So no I have a washer that has not been repaired as promised, apparently a part that has disappeared and a repair company that has completely ghosted me. I have again reached out to Metro to see if they can change my repair to a different company. Never again will I be purchased a warranty serviced by Safeware, they also communicate horribly. For two weeks I had to talk to a virtual technician before I finally demanded a real live person. That’s when they sent Gliedt and it started out well until it wasn’t. Definitely not a company I will ever use should I need appliance repair in the future.
