great reviews so I chose this company. My experience was very DISAPPOINTING. I got an original quote from the "wife" of the person who would do the work. I had the "husband" come take measurements, review all aspects of the job and with both the husband and the wife we reviewed where an outlet could be "easily located". It was part of the job that was quoted and it did not seem like an outrageous part of the project. They install inserts with fans and they need electric power. Well I discovered differently. I am left with a fireplace insert with no power source but I'm told by the company owner I can run a big power cord outside the house to the fan or he can run the big black cord out the front of my insert which sits flush on brick and I can run extension cords across my living room floor which is EXACTLY what I told him I DID NOT WANT when he was quoting the job. When I ask him if this is how he installs all his gas inserts by running a big cord out the front, he tells me that my fireplace had some special challenges. I reminded him he came out and quoted the job so must have been aware of the special challenges which actually have nothing to do with the power cord, but the existing flue system. I am now many weeks into this project, it is cold outside, and my fireplace insert job sits unfinished. Communication with the office was unprofessional. We were always pleasant and trying to be understanding as Tim kept telling us he would work it out with the electrician, then I was told he could handle moving an outlet, then I didn't hear anything for weeks as the job sits unfinished and uninspected. I try calling and get no return calls. I finally have to remind them I paid them in full for a job left unfinished. This finally got me a phone call returned with lots of excuses and none of them made sense and left us feeling poorly. Florizona got paid on time, each time, they wanted money, but I am left with a poor excuse for professional installation. I guess I better go dig an extension cord out of the barn so I can use my brand new, very expensive, gas fireplace insert. Beware. Get everything in writing and make sure not to pay until the job is completed as originally agreed upon. Jennifer Hale Micanopy Florida
