We had an error code come up on our thermostat, and even though it was working fine, I called another company to come look at it. He immediately told me that the 12 year old system was not working due to the compressor going bad, no refrigerant, & there was rust and a crack in the heat exchange unit which could potentially leak carbon monoxide into our home. We would need to replace the unit and the quote was $18,000. After having the heat off for a week thinking we were going to leak carbon monoxide, I asked Everest for a 2nd opinion. Brad came out 2 times to check everything out and realized the refrigerant had been leaked out on purpose by the previous company. Brad and Karen were honest and wonderful to work with. They saved us over $16,000 in the end. I am so thankful for Everest and they will have my business always. Thanks again!!
I was fortunate enough to have found the best HVAC company in Blount county several years ago, and it would seem the longer they are in business the bigger and better they get. I certainly know why. The guys, (and girls) at Everest Air have kept my old HVAC unit going both summer and winter now for almost 10 years. Believe me when I tell you that there have been several times I just knew they weren’t going to be able to save it. But each time, somehow, some way, they managed to get it back up and running to keep us cool, or warm depending on the season, when old faithful decided to burp out one of her regular problems. I’ve known for a while now that the inevitable was coming, but for financial reasons I put it off as long as possible with their help. But lo and behold the day finally came that the old girl was breathing her last. I really can’t tell you how comforting it was to know that now that the time had come, I was going to be taken care of in the professional manner in which the guys (and girls) at Everest Air took care of my wife and I. They had incredibly quick scheduling, that had to be rescheduled due to my screw up, not theirs. But they acted as if it was a daily problem they already had fixes for and immediately rescheduled me for a couple of days later when it was more convenient for me. Today Zach, and another tech I completely forgot the name of (sorry dude!) came out and installed our new HVAC unit. Due to some home improvements and modifications we have coming up, I needed them to install the new unit in a completely new spot about 20-30 feet away from the original spot. When they finished the job, cleaned up and removed all the trash, boxes, old unit and waste, other than it being shiny and new you would never know that it hadn’t always been there. Besides being the most honest people I’ve ever dealt with in ANY business, what I like most about the entire ownership and staff at Everest Air is how well and how much they listen, and how well they explain everything. From WHY my old unit was on its last leg, to sitting down with an old, very technologically illiterate guy and walking him completely through how to put the thermostat app on his phone and making sure he knew how to use it before they left. I just can’t say enough good things about this company, its owners or the people they employee. If you’ve read this review this far then I can only presume you’re in the market for HVAC services. So if that’s the case, stop scrolling. You’re in the right place and you’ve found the company you are looking for. You can take one old dude from Walland’s word for it.
Chris came to do my maintenance today and was super friendly, and quick! He also treated my dogs very kindly even though they bark at strangers constantly lol The last gentleman I had here who did work for me (it was over 7 months ago so I unfortunately forgot his name) was also great. I really wish I did though because he explained everything and gave me all of my options up front and did not pressure me to do the more expensive options. He even balanced my unit because when it was installed it was apparently tilted so it had been leaking into my ceiling causing massive issues. No other company even said that was something that could be done, much less actually doing it without costing an arm and a leg. Both made me feel safe and respected (didn’t speak down to me even though I have very little knowledge of HVAC systems), and were super helpful! I can’t recommend this company enough. Thanks again Everest! I’m so glad I found you all.
