We got 4 windows n a pellet stove from them. Jake was great at helping us select the windows and installing them. We are very happy with the way they look and the ease of operating and cleaning them. The new pellet stove is a nice addition to heating our home. Always great customer service at the Dale location as well!
We called this company to come out and service our Harmon Iron Accentra pellet stove. When the "technician" came out she looked around the heater and determined that the blower fan needed to be replaced. Upon her inspection she cited that the unit (being a built in) had no access to the blower fan without cutting an access hole into the wall behind it in our spare bedroom. She then left. I then took her direction and cut open the wall to find there was no access to service the heater. Upon a 5 minute search on YouTube I found that the heater actually has releases and can be pulled straight out from the front. Within 30 minutes I had the heater out, blower fan serviced and then unit back together and working perfectly. I asked the company to refund my service call as now I have to patch a hole in my wall per their direction and the "VP" decided that because they discounted the visit initially due to their own incompetence that they would do nothing further. Its not about the $250 that they charged, its about the incompetence that resulted in damage to my house at their direction and their lack of integrity they showed.
Update 1/29 - Response to Earth Sense -
Your recap and response is FULL of inaccurate information. The pellet heater is installed as per design and I was able to slide it straight out without issue or damage. This is why pictures matter, they tell the truth. There was no "mortar" or "stone' in the way and your technician ABSOLUTELY said that the only way to access the motor was to open up the wall. Responding with false claims only further strengthens my initial review. I might suggest you invest in training your technicians as just because you "have been servicing these units for 30 years" does not mean your technicians have, they should not be "learning more from YouTube" than they are your internal training. All the best.
We purchased our refurbished pellet stove from Earth Sense in Dale, WI, in late August 2025. We started using Uncle Jed's pellets on and off in November. The pellet stove helps heat our basement nicely and the first-floor bathroom (with the help of a ceiling fan). We have also received great customer service from the employees; they came out to answer our questions in person! Highly recommend Earth Sense Energy Systems! We have not had a problem with Uncle Jeds pellets, and are ready to get more soon with this extreme cold weather! They had to cut through ceiling and outside wall, and were very professional and answered all of our questions. Thank you Earth Sense.
Awesome experience. I got my new pellet stove and windows done this fall through Earth Sense. I absolutely love the stove and the windows have made my house so much more energy efficient and warmer this winter. Couldn’t be more pleased with the knowledgeable service/customer care I received from Jake especially, Megan, and also the crew that installed the windows. If you’re thinking about doing this, I would recommend it over and over again. Incredibly pleased.
