I would not recommend DPMG Prime. Unfortunately, my experience with this company has been marred by unprofessionalism, carelessness, and untrustworthiness. I believe this company adheres to the "profit over people" credo. The recurrent theme I've discovered, not only from my own experience, but also via talking with other tenants, is that, once you sign their lease, their attitude turns very apathetic. Concerns and problems become minimized, dismissed, or flatly ignored. Communication is generally poor. The property manager I've had to deal with is John; he's shown himself to be untrustworthy and unprofessional on several occasions. If you'... I would not recommend DPMG Prime. The property manager I've had to deal with is John; he's shown himself to be untrustworthy and unprofessional on several occasions. If you're going to rent with them, my advice would be to ask many questions before signing the lease, thoroughly inspect the condition of the apartment prior to moving in and signing the lease (be sure to get promised repairs in writing), and do not agree to a two-year lease, which I think is far too risky to do with this company; I would insist on a standard one-year lease. I'll attach a few highlights from the lease which I feel are pertinent to share (before you spend the money on the application fee). Note that many conditions with this lease are likely illegal and constitute penalty clauses (e.g., the $400 per incident dog poop fine, the two-and-a-half month's rent early lease termination fee, the $2,500 plus doubling of the rent fee if the tenant holds the apartment past the lease end date even with the landlord's consent, etc.) All-in-all, a lot of these clauses in their contract should really give you pause. It reflects who they are as a company and how they view their relationship with you. The application fee was $50 (non-refundable).
I love living here! (At 108 s Hosmer) I got one of the larger apartments on the fourth floor. I have an entire wall of windows that I put suncatchers in…. rainbows all summer long. From the bedroom while laying in bed, all you can see is blue skies and clouds on the nice days. AKA- I’m living cloud princess dreams. There’s exposed brick, nice updated fixtures, and my shower came with a basic curtain and rod which was a life saver the day I moved in without a curtain. Staff is friendly and responsive - thanks a ton!
I love these apartments. I have rented here for 2 years and have always been helped promptly with any questions or concerns I ever had. The staff and management are wonderful and so kind. What a wonderful place to call home.
If I could leave no stars, I would. When I moved into my DPMG Prime apartment on Harwick Drive, they were not done cleaning hours after they said they would be. The building was poorly maintained, a chest freezer was left full and unplugged in the laundry room for MONTHS. The entire building reeled from rotting meat. The apartment itself was a cheap flip, where the vinyl plank floors were cut without being measured properly, and any time an upstairs neighbor drained their kitchen sink, mine would backup with black chunks of slime. The apartment itself was a cheap flip, where the vinyl plank floors were cut without being measured properly, and any time an upstairs neighbor drained their kitchen sink, mine would backup with black chunks of slime. And then about a year into living there, my apartment flooded. Four times. I woke up to water seeing through the cracks in the floor. Half of my belongings were ruined. I came home about a week later to about 4 inches of standing water in my apartment, my dog was terrified. I called maintenance multiple times, and apparently the best they could do was give me a dehumidifier. Obviously I couldn’t continue to live in an apartment growing mold from the constant flooding, so I moved all of my sopping wet belongings out and they had the audacity to not return my security deposit because it “took more than 2 hours to clean”! I bet it did! Considering I had to manually remove THOUSANDS of gallons of water to be able to move my things out. Overall, it was a terrible experience and they still owe me money that I’ll never see.
