In their defense (the reason they earned 2 stars), they had a challenge installing two glass shower enclosures in our new construction because the contractor built walls that weren't exactly plumb. So we didn't expect perfection, but after replacing one glass pane that was cut incorrectly, they got paid and never returned, leaving the job unfinished. The second glass panel doesn't line up with the the panel next to it leaving a gap from top to bottom where water exits the enclosure. It is evident that this panel was also cut wrong. DoubleTree should have replace it with a more accurately cut panel, but they did not. They don't do the cutting, but even if they have to come out fifteen times, the homeowner should be able to expect the glass panels will line up correctly so that water remains inside the shower. In the second bathroom there is a 4 inch gap between the glass sliding doors where water exits the shower enclosure. The handles were placed incorrectly so that the doors slide backwards (from the back wall instead of the entry into the shower). Additionally there are a few other minor issues they promised to return to correct. DoubleTree ghosted us completely - no call - no show and we're still waiting after one year. So the final result for us is that after paying $7,000.00 for shower glass, we ended up with a new shower enclosure and one shower that has two backward sliding glass doors and both showers leak onto the bathroom floor. Overall, I feel cheated and disappointed because of the high cost. I expected a better product. And, I expected them to do what they not only said they would, but what they were paid to do. Very disappointing overall and I cannot recommend their work. Edit: the owner found out about this unfortunate event and called. A very fine example of personal integrity! They made everything right at their own expense after more than a year. Thank you so much, DoubleTree. I wish every other business was run as well as yours. Outstanding!
