The design is old” not the same business design as it was a decade ago. Disign air lost big-time! Tica won for price, speed of estimate and communication! Tica also offers labor warranties that designer can’t touch! In the market for a heat pump, Summer 2025 And I thought it would be a no-brainer to go with disign air again. I’m glad I didn’t Just go with them, and I sought out more estimates This company ‘design air’ is now a hot mess, it took four different estimates just to get the simple heat pump bid they kept including a Furnace option. Then come to find out the carrier is not offering a 10 year labor warranty Which seems really, really strange. And they don’t work with any third-party warranty companies. ( they want that labor money) Tica offers An amazingly affordable 10 year labor warranty and almost 2 services for the price of one fall Start up by Disign air. Tica offers a spring AC and a fall furnace startup for the price of one service through designer. Tica came through with an estimate within 48 hours that was clear And Detailed with different units. Tica was familiar with the Power company rebates and was super reachable. I have a cell number and can text and or call. The climate at designer unfortunately has changed. At this point, I wouldn’t let them change my filter.

December 17, 2014 we paid Design Air to install a new furnace and AC unit in our home in Hammond. The furnace never worked properly and because it kept back feeding due to debris they down in the duct work it eventually caught fire 5 years later... they refused service after the sale. We replaced the furnace with an Amana unit from Atterberry Marshall. Now this past summer our AC unit died... it was not correctly wired in... they left the AC unit on the same breaker as our garage. Also the AC unit they installed never cooled the 2nd floor of our house because the unit itself was not the right size for our house. This also will be replaced with an Amana unit from Atterberry Marshall. Greg Fogerson was our representative from Design Air... It has totally been a waste money and time with Design Air. We are now dedicated Atterberry Marshall customers for life!

This company takes pride in the quality of their work and truly cares about their customers. They installed our geothermal heating/cooling system, which works perfectly and has saved us almost a thousand dollars in utilities since they installed it a year ago. They were also really understanding and kind when there was a delay due to financing being slow to come through, even though the delay affected them the most; they really approached us like neighbors and created a relationship of mutual trust and respect. We also have two additions that are not connected to the regular ductwork, and they found a solution to heat and cool those rooms (with a mini split) and came out very quickly any time there was an issue, including handling talking to the manufacturer to get replacement parts under warranty. They are a great example of the benefits of choosing a local company; reliable, courteous, fast and responsive. I would recommend them to anyone in East central Illinois.
