Dan the Furniture Repair Man

So, I had an old dresser from the early 1960's (it was my mom's). I was moving it from her house to mine and we dropped it. Needless to say, I was heartbroken. My son found Dan the Furniture Repair Man. I knew I had to get it to him. I scheduled a pick up, because I wasn't even going to try to move it again. Anyway, I got it back in about 10 days! I'm so over the moon happy! It looks like it was never dropped. Dan and his son Arthur are incredible craftsmen. They had to take it apart and put it back together. I included 3 before photos and 2 after pictures. Thank you, Dan and Arthur!

Dan did an amazing job repairing my couch which I thought was beyond repair or too expensive for me to afford it! Him and his apprentice were very carful to protect the couch upholstery during the time it was in their shop and you cannot even tell it was broken and repaired at one point after they completed it and put the existing upholstery back in place. They saved my one of a kind couch which I plan to enjoy for many years to come! I’m grateful and highly recommend them if you have valued furniture to be brought back to life!

I inherited my great grandmother's dining table and damaged it while moving. The casters were sheared off during the move and the table had to be held together with straps because the clasp for the center post had fallen out. It was also in need of refinishing. The last photo is the before, all others are the after. I spent a long time searching for someone to do the project and after reading many stellar reviews for Dan decided to give him a call. I am very glad I did. Dan and his team did a great job! I learned a lot about this family heirloom and it was worth the wait for the refinish and repair. This table is tricky and delicate as it is over a hundred years old and has no nails or screws in the original construction. After the initial refinishing (Dan took care to give suggestions that would highlight the original cherry), the table had some balancing issues and the opening mechanism had some unnoticed issues. Dan took it back and spent countless hours working with different options to make the table stable and allow us to use all the leaves. I have been impressed with his perseverance with the repairs on the table. They were definitely tricky due to how large the table expands and the original construction of the table. He tried many options and let me know along the way which would be best. I am delighted to have get to share this hundred plus year old table with family and friends. I would highly recommend Dan will definitely use him again!

I had Dan repair and refinish our dining room table that my grandfather had built in 1960. He knew how special and one of a kind this piece was and took extreme care while bringing it back to its former glory. Dan was always very responsive when we had questions or wanted updates.
