Bought a tire in advance on a Sunday and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday at 10am. By 1pm and the car has been sitting on the lift untouched for the last 40 minutes while my wife waits. She has asked the lady at the front desk multiple times for an ETA and has received rude dismissive responses that evade answering her question. I called the tire center to talk to the tech to get a ETA and see why it’s taking 3 hours to change a single tire which should be a 30 min service at the absolute max. He apparently had no idea we had a 10am appointment and told me it was going to be another 20 mins but he’d talk to his boss to see why it was taking so long. Finally I get a call back that they originally sold me the wrong tire and that the tire I actually need is $50 more expensive, but they couldn’t articulate why it was necessary. I had to call my mechanic back home to ask him to explain to me the need for the tire they were suggesting. I agree to the more expensive tire and he says 20 mins and we’ll be done. I call 30 mins later for an update, and apparently they’re just about finishing and giving me attitude for checking up after we’ve been waiting for nearly 4 hours. They then order my wife to go outside to load her groceries. She’s waiting outside for the keys in the cold and they come back outside and yell at her accusing that she wasn’t trying to pay for the added cost of the more expensive tire. We will NEVER be back. I will be calling Costco’s corporate customer service to report this awful service.
