We will not work with this company again. Get a detailed bid in writing and understand the limits of what this company will and will not do. If you only need flooring installed, they may be okay. Visiting the showroom was great and the materials we selected were good. However, the project PM showed up at our house to start work with no advanced notice. We scrambled to get furniture moved off an entire floor of our house. They helped us find a plumber quickly. The project seemed to move along okay until the end. The final invoice was 3k over the bid and was sent without any details. When I asked why, the accountant said it was for a floor repair. I complained stating I communicated the floor repair before the project start to the owner, the showroom person, and the PM and thought it was part of demo. We were never told of the charge nor asked to approve it. I also complained about the lack of notification for project start, that I had to ask if the project was finished, and never received final photos I requested. The owner emailed me and was defensive and incredibly rude stating "how could I think they would fix a hole in the floor for free". He also said I was "extremely difficult" to reach citing he called twice the week before project start. I produced call and email logs that proved no one from his company called or emailed me anytime three weeks before the project start. He dropped the final invoice amount but I never heard from him after sending proof that my communication challenges were legitimate. I've worked with a lot of contractors having renovated two homes and I have never encountered an owner that blatantly refused to take accountability even when confronted with evidence. The response to my complaint was aggressive and unnecessary. It's too bad because the company employs some experienced, competent people.
