To whom it may concern. Last year, I brought my car in for specific issues and authorized over $1000 in repairs. The shop supposedly replaced the gasket (valve cover leak), the timing chain, and the tire sensors. I entrusted my vehicle and hard-earned money to this establishment, expecting professional and honest service. Months later, the initial problems resurfaced: the oil leak returned, an engine rattle reappeared, and the tire pressure warning light came back on. Concerned, I recently took my car to an independent second shop for an evaluation. I intentionally withheld all information about the previous repairs performed at Capital Auto to get an unbiased assessment. The list of necessary repairs I received from the second shop was alarming; it indicated that every single issue Capital Auto was paid to fix was not done. (The shop recommended gasket replacement, tire sensors, and a new timing chain.) It is a shame that one must worry about being deceived when seeking professional help. The evidence strongly suggests that Capital Auto either did not perform the agreed-upon work or performed it so negligently that it failed almost immediately. Life is hard, money is tight, and being defrauded of over a thousand dollars for services never rendered is unacceptable. I feel it is my duty to share my experience with others and warn potential customers about the integrity of this business.
