In 2016 I purchased a Simplicity vacuum cleaner from a store that has changed owners several times. The belt broke and unfortunately the replacement belt sold to me by the other shop was a bit too wide causing rubbing and burning rubber. Bagdon's came up in an internet search and was closer than the other place so I went there. Bagdon's was great! Their person took a look, understood the problem, and replaced the belt with the correct one. He also did a quick clean of the machine and replaced one of the filters. Although my visit was short and nothing was actually broken, I was very impressed with the level of service and competence. They have my business going forward. Great experience!
I have been shopping a Bagdon’s vacuum service center for years. I stopped by today with my Dyson vacuum that stopped working. A young man named Tyler was there instead of Guy. I was told that Guy retired and a new company bought out his business. At first, I thought great I wonder how this will go. Tyler was awesome. He looked at my machine took it apart, found the problem and just happened to have everything needed to fix my machine in stock. He told me that lsome of the parts are discontinued. I was in and out in 20 minutes and my vacuum is like brand new. I have and still highly recommend Bagdon’s

Guy was professional, honest, and thorough in his diagnosis of my steam cleaner issue. I valued his frankness and that he seemed to have a good rapport with regular customers. He did not believe I would leave a review, so I hope this restores his faith in humanity. :)
The shop owned & run by father and daughter is small but don't let your expectations be limited by that. They are friendly, sell quality products, are knowledgeable, and make a genuine effort to help their customers, both with purchases and with service/repairs.

I had a good quality but older out-of-warranty canister vac with a damaged hose. Parts are now limited thru manufacturer and I was not even able to find one online. I went to Bagdons for advice and maybe help repairing it. The owner took the time to examine mine, and he decline to take it in to attempt repairing it NOT because he wanted to sell me a new Vac but largely so I would not be disappointed or upset if the "fixed" hose failed again later. However, he did take time to offer suggestions and some Do's & Don't's if I were to attempt the repair myself.
I was impressed with his rationale and with willingness to to time to advise and guide me.
BTW I did attempt the repair and it was successful, beyond what I had hoped for.

Despite the repair and the fact I had a working vac again, I decided later on that I would treat myself, splurge and buy a new high quality vac. I returned to Bagdons and bought a Miele canister vac. Unfortunately, for some reason, the first time I used it, I experienced a problem with loose dirt going into the canister's bag compartment. I wanted to be certain it did not get into the motor & cause damage, so being new & under warranty, I contacted Miele directly. They directed me to two "authorized" repair centers in my area.
The comparison with how I was dealt with by *both* of these service centers, even after I said I was referred by Miele USA, was in sharp contrast to the way I was dealt with at Bagdon's, even the first time when I went for help and wasn't making a purchase. Ultimately, tail between my legs, I went back to Bagdons, was told not to worry, they would check mine out to be sure there was no damage or other problem. In a matter of days I got a call my vac was checked out and ready for pick-up. They even replaced the dirty unusable bag (possibly faulty) with a new one.

I respect the owners for their business ethic and for the exceptional customer service they provided. This experience reinforces my commitment to supporting local businesses.
I could have bought the new vac online, maybe for cheaper.
But I would not have had the service & support I received as a customer from Bagdons.
