We have always had the best experience with AC&F! They installed a Valor G3 insert for us 10 years ago & it has been a wonderful upgrade to our home. Sean serviced it today & was truly phenomenal. He was incredibly kind & thorough & he took the time to explain everything clearly while making sure that unit was working perfectly, and even cleaned everything so that it looks brand new again. It’s rare to find someone so knowledgeable who also genuinely cares about the customer experience. We felt completely confident in his work & appreciate his professionalism. We highly recommend Sean & American Chimney and Fireplace & will always call them for our fireplace needs in the future!
Sean provided excellent service at our home! I had a lot of questions about both the current setup and what other options might be available in our 1950’s home. After a thorough inspection, he patiently walked me thru his findings, even showing me the camera footage of our flue system, and lastly made recommendations for how to safely proceed. I really appreciated Sean’s professionalism, attention to detail including cleanliness, the fact that he was on time, and his patience with all my questions.
American Chimney & Fireplace did an outstanding job! Josh’s crew was fantastic—just two guys, but total pros. One of them practically climbed the chimney like a monkey to take care of the exterior work, while the other handled everything inside with care and precision.
They were courteous, respectful, and very mindful of our home, especially my husband who works nights and sleeps during the day. That kind of consideration really meant a lot to us.
The whole fireplace and chimney (waterproofing) update took 2 days and half, and the results were absolutely worth it. Everything looks great and was done right just before the winter storm.

ACF did an outstanding job of repairing our gas logs. Our technician, Sean, was attentive, made some other adjustments that I requested, and cleaned the fireplace and glass so much that the unit looks brand new. I will continue to call them for my fireplace maintenance.
We’ve had quite a journey getting our chimney leak resolved and the flashing fully replaced. I’ve had the team from American Chimney out at least ten times over 5 months to perform different repairs and tests to track down the issue. Every crew that came out was kind, professional, and patient in explaining what was going on. I truly felt they cared and wanted to fix the problem.
The reason for the 2-star rating is mainly due to the quality of the subcontractor’s work and the poor experience dealing with their shop manager, Levi. He was difficult to work with — not very kind, understanding, or easy to communicate with — which made the process frustrating. I’m honestly not sure why he is in a customer-facing role.
The subcontractor who handled the flashing reportedly has over 20 years of experience, yet the finished product looks rough. As shown in the photos, the flashing is uneven, and the caulking job is excessive. I realize this type of stone is tricky to flash around, but the original flashing looked symmetrical, neat, and lasted for years. Unfortunately, I’m not confident this new work will hold up long term. The first attempt at new flashing still leaked, so this was the second try. Thankfully, no leaks have been detected since.
After the amount we’ve spent, we’re disappointed in the quality of the finished work. However, because of the other team members’ professionalism and the company’s genuine effort to make things right, I’ve rated them 2 stars instead of lower. I appreciate that they kept trying to fix the leak and didn’t walk away from the problem. The rest of the work looked great. We do not plan on using them in the future.
