I had 7 estimates for replacement of my deck. I was impressed the first time I met with Alvin to discuss our deck project . He pointed out details that no one else had. His price was fair and his work crew was polite and professional. John, the forman, made sure everything was exactly the way we wanted. He had 2 young men on his crew which I was so impressed with. They measured and leveled everything over and over until it was right. I don't see today's youth show the work ethic and quality that those 2 young men showed. Communication with Alvin was what you should expect from a quality contractor. Anyone needing a new deck would be remiss if you don't give Al's Home Improvements a call. Our deck was in disrepair, and we’d been thinking about expanding it for a while. We first connected with Al but had to delay the project due to some job changes. He was incredibly patient and understanding, and when we were finally ready to move forward, he picked up right where we left off without missing a beat. As often happens, our project grew—from a simple deck replacement to a beautiful screened-in porch with an extended deck and a walkway leading to our pool area. Al offered fantastic design ideas that truly brought our vision to life, and he was unbelievably patient as we made MANY changes along the way, including some that were very last minute 🫣. His team is made up of hardworking, professional, and courteous craftsmen who impressed us every step of the way. They worked efficiently and cleaned up the job site thoroughly every single day—honestly, above and beyond anything we’ve seen from other contractors we’ve hired. The final result is a space we absolutely love. We spend so much time out here now that we can’t believe we didn’t do this sooner

Al’s Home Improvements did an absolutely outstanding job on our large 22-year-old deck! They replaced the surface, base, and railings, and added beautiful lighting and a privacy wall. From the very first estimate through project completion, the process was smooth and stress-free. Communication was excellent every step of the way. The crew was polite, respectful, and professional — and they even finished the job ahead of schedule while staying exactly on budget.
