We just moved to the Alexandria area and I did a lot of shopping around for someone to clean our rugs for a reasonable price. I originally went with a cheaper company, which was a big mistake. (They cancelled on me 5 minutes after my service window ended even though I called multiple days that day to confirm someone was coming). I called Tom the same day to get something set up. He was responsive and dependable. My rugs look and smell great, we had a senior dog, so there was definitely some pet odors that are thankfully gone now.
I would not recommend this company at all. My experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The first time he came to “clean” my carpet, he used an old, rusted rotary machine that only scrubbed the surface and didn’t actually extract anything. My carpets still looked dirty immediately after, and when I vacuumed, I pulled up huge clumps of gray gunk that showed nothing was actually cleaned.
After I complained, he came back out to re-clean, but this time he used an old shampoo machine — the exact kind I could have rented myself at Home Depot. Again, no real extraction, just more soap. Now my carpet has a sticky residue that you can literally feel when you walk on it, and I’ll have to pay someone else to fix it and remove the buildup.
He also took my 8x10 rug “to clean” and brought it back a week later looking no better at all. No improvement, no deep clean — nothing.
What’s even more concerning is that it seems like any negative reviews get removed, which is very misleading for customers trying to choose a service. Based on what I experienced, I definitely should have been refunded at least half my money, if not all of it.
Now I’m stuck needing to hire a real professional to re-clean my carpets properly. Completely disappointed and would not recommend.
A great service located in Alexandria, VA. Tom was very nice, affordable, and professional. He was able to clear up plenty of spots on the carpet, including vomit from the dog. At the end of service he gave out gift certificates for any referrals. He's truly amazing.
Tom completely saved me and my rug! I had a messy dog accident while dog sitting and had to leave for a family vacation the following morning, leaving the stain to sit for 3 days. Tom arrived the day after I called to pick up and clean the rug. I had my rug back a week later and not a trace of the stains. Highly recommend!
Also of note- I called a few other companies and Tom’s pricing was very reasonable. Five star review all around!
