I am very pleased with the service Alaska Garage Door performed on my 31-year old garage door. I couldn't close it with the remote or manually because of a broken, tangled cable. Ben was great and diagnosed the main problem, found other things that needed attention or fixing (lubricated the hinges and other parts, adjusted the sensors, replaced a plate, etc.), and soon it was working smoothly and quietly again. I expected the repair would take a lot more time and money so was pleasantly surprised when it did not. I will be happy to use them as my garage door company from now on.

From start to finish, the experience was excellent. Ben did an amazing job handling the scheduling super responsive, clear, and made everything easy and stress-free. Huge shout-out to Jeff for the repair itself. He was professional, knowledgeable, and absolutely nailed the fix. You can tell he takes pride in his work. 10/13/25 Original issue was my garage door was not closing. I placed a call to AK Garage Door & Repair. At first I was happy with the service I recieved from Ben. Within a few days, the same issue started again and it took until 11/26/25 for them to come back out. Jeff was the techinician this time. He trouble shooted and told me that if I continued to have issues, I would need to get a new garage door opener installed ($750 quoted). January 3rd I reached out again, garage door not closing again in frigid temperatures. I was told they would be out on Jan 6th, no show, no call, then they texted they could come out on 1/13/2026! I stressed the urgency - to no avail. I never saw them again and they stopped responding. I called Pioneer Door and they were able to get me on their schedule and installed by 1/16/2026. Ben is super nice, however I feel that I was neglected as a paying customer.
