Rack and pinion system was replaced which led to shaking of the entire vehicle between 45-60 mph. They attempted to fix the issue for the next eleven months but were unable to get the shaking to stop. General manager was replaced and new one said they would no longer attempt to fix the problem unless I started to pay for more repairs, which based on their own words were guesses at best on whether they would work or not. Jim and his team are TOP NOTCH, very kind and professuonal. When asked, Jim let’s me know the price, what is critical and what is not. Now my vehicles are older 😎 98’ & 2000 respectively, and not all parts are made anymore, but they help me install the used parts that I can find. Mom recommended Moore and Son’s in the late 80’s, and I would choose no where else.

I gave them my car for nine full days and asked them to take a look at some issues with it. I called them days prior and they said that was fine, so I dropped it off with a list of things I needed looked at, and trusted that they would work on it while I was gone. When I got back, I hadn’t heard anything from them, so I called and asked for an update. They said I could pick it up that afternoon, and to wait for a call back. The whole day goes by, no call. I called again an hour before they closed. The owner said his guys were working on it, and he would go and ask them for an update and call me back. He never did. When i called again 15 minutes before closing, they hung up on me. I went with my backup key to get my car after that, because I needed it for work, only to find it in the exact same spot I dropped it off with absolutely 0 work or repairs done. Every call after that rang straight to Verizon with no voicemail option. This was not an isolated incident. Every time I’ve gone to Moore & sons, they have been terrible at communication, and they overcharge for slow labor that doesn’t result in any repairs whatsoever. For anything beyond simple oil changes, Moore & Sons will not communicate with you about time or cost estimates. There are plenty of traveling mechanics in town that will serve you much better without ignoring your vehicle and dodging your calls.

Went in for a pre-purchase inspection for a potential buyer w/ the potential buyer paying for the inspection. The potential buyer was late to our meeting so I checked in my truck for inspection. I told the guy behind the counter that the vehicle was mine and not to give the keys to the potential buyer as 1) I haven't even met him yet and 2) it's just better to be safe (could be a guy trying to get a literal steal). Potential buyer then shows up about 10 mins late, and wanted in my truck, but the employee behind the desk said "the vehicle's been dispatched".

So the potential buyer couldn't check out the interior. We had agreed to meet at a later time so he can check out the inside of the vehicle and test drive it. Well, he came back later (without my knowledge) and was somehow given access to get inside my truck that under their watch. I mean who does that??? Who comes back unknowingly to inspect another man's car and what kind of company/automotive shop would allow this to happen?
Potential buyer backed out for his own reasons. Seemed a bit suspect to me, but that's beside the point. I came back the next day to pick up my truck. I understand that the guy behind the desk was on the phone probably assisting someone, but you would think he'd glance up once in the fifteen minutes I was waiting to acknowledge me or say something. I just wanted my truck keys so I can get on with my day. Well, after 15 minutes I decided that I'd just get my truck back. Their pegboard with keys was unsecured and I saw my truck keys, grabbed it and left. Real safe! The guy behind the desk never even looked up once. I could've just taken all the keys I wanted.
I'd never recommend this place to anyone!
