Britt Bridges at Ahold of Mold has been absolutely fantastic to work with. I searched reviews of businesses that were in this space after having a toilet leak water under my floorboards, and Ahold of Mold seemed like the best choice to me. I'm glad I trusted that decision because Britt was responsive, quick, and more importantly very honest and transparent. He treated my home as if it were his own, and was very transparent that there was very little moisture detected, let alone mold. He didn't try to upsell me on anything. He didn't try to invent any problems. He did some tests with an impressive assortment of tools, and he gave me an honest solution to my problem. And that solution did not require him to do anything else. You do not find contractors as honest as Britt in this day and age, and after driving over an hour roundtrip, I am impressed with the high integrity and standards at Ahold of Mold. Thank you, Britt.
My husband and I had some concerns regarding mold in our home. Within minutes of contacting Ahold of Mold and speaking with Britt, we were setting an appointment for inspection. Britt arrived on time, he was respectful and polite in removing his shoes upon entering our home and professional in using a high-tech device to scan within the walls of our home while simultaneously completing a visual inspection as well. Upon completion, there was no source located unfortunately, however, Britt kindly recommended an air quality test and other services to further assess what may be the cause for our concern. We highly recommend Britt with Ahold of Mold for your home moisture and mold inspection services. Thank you.
I've dwelled on my experience with this company long enough. Do not believe they are 5 star!! Initial consultation made me believe they are honest and reputable. Sent two guys, no introduction what their names were, but luckily driving a company van. Did what they called "confined" the area with plastic and duct tape. Explained nothing. Literally ripped out 3 sheets of drywall, floor to ceiling, also damaging ceiling. Admitted there was not enough mold found for high reading on air test but had no pictures of what was found. Left bags of "contaminated" drywall on the curb for my trash pickup in 2 days. Neither wore PPE and walked freely in and out of my house. I complained about messy work and owner sent them back next day to make clean cuts. Ran fan inside confined area but also inside adjoining bathroom. Although I left a neighbor with access to my house and they had her contact, fans ran for 6 days I was on vacation. Another air test was done and clear to rebuild the wall. White "paint" was brushed on a couple areas, supposedly antimicrobial. When contractors came they refused to replace wall. Exposed shower pan from adjoining bath was full of mold. Although work order stated Ahold of Mold was to check for source of moisture, shower area and water lines none of this was done. Owner agreed to "make it right" and reimburse for work not done on his estimate. He insisted on doing another air test once contractors gutted and replaced shower area and replaced kitchen wall. Three weeks later later I recontacted him and he tried to say he sent check with the wrong zip code and it was returned. The next day he forgot to bring check from home and wrote a "new" one he left in my mailbox, no envelope. His "fair" reimbursement was $625.12 of the almost $2800 I paid for his company's incompetence and my stress, frustration and inconvenience. I've definitely learned the hard way not to believe 5 star reviews. Owner blew up my phone today wanted to reimburse my money. When I didn't respond or argue he seemed angered and tried to put the blame on me a discredit the contractor who helped resolve my problem. His response to my review clearly shows his unprofessional way of handling the situation. He was never told who my contractor was so his comments are here say and lies.
