Any time I have an appliance issue I call Richard, he is quick honest and is fair. This time I had him come out to check my mom and dad's washer and after checking it he said we should just get a new one and even referred us to someone to get one at a cheaper price. He is always honest and not just trying to make a buck.
My washing machine went out on me at the end of Sept and a quick search pointed me to A1. Richard responded right away and even helped me troubleshoot over the phone and via text. It was agreed that my washer was done and not worth repairing. So Richard put me in contact with his "whole seller" Manuel to get a "reconditioned" machine. This is where this experience went from great to what I feel like is a scam now. Manuel showed up, installed a new to me machine, and removed the old one. Manuel said there was a 90 day warranty. Once I got a chance to run it, I was immediately getting drainage errors. I would hit continue on the machine and it would finish though. So I just thought air in the lines, it was just installed. But the error never cleared. Richard asked me to contact Manuel for him to come back and check it out. I tried for a couple weeks. It was like I was ghosted. Then Manual responded out of the blue on Oct 24, asking if I would be home at 6pm. Told him yes and then he ghosted me all weekend. When I called him out on Monday, he said he would come back. I just wanted a refund at this point. But now he says he doesn't do refunds. Richard said if Manuel didn't come back then he would check this machine out for free. Its now been a month and Richard stopped responding. I just bought a new washer because Manuel's still wasn't draining correctly and then started leaking. So I'm out $350 on a machine that doesn't work correctly and all the time wasted on dealing with it. Is this what I really get for trying to support a small business?
12.4.25 - update since I can't comment on the response. I've tried texting, using the messaging on your webpage, and email. I guess I've been blocked, ha. I'm done wasting my time. Thank you for that Richard and for wasting my money on Manuel.
Had the pleasure of having Richard repair my Samsung French door refrigerators condenser fan which had left the chat. he came on Sunday to diagnose the issue and returned on Monday after the parts house had opened. We also chatted about some cool things he's working on and I want to buy a misternaut from him when get get that business rolling.
My washers water pump went out on a Sunday and Richard showed up on that Monday. With his 20+ years of knowledge he had me up and running within an hour. After he arrived he quickly diagnosed and replaced my broken water pump with genuine parts. I have no complaints and my kids are happy they dont have to go to a laundromat. If any other appliance breaks, I will call Richard with A1 Best Appliance Repair.
