A Cut Above Exteriors

Quality is what you get when A Cut Above is involved. Also, professional service. A Cut Above came to the rescue when dry rot was discovered around my poorly installed windows and siding by a company not as qualified as A Cut Above is. The team is Amazing! And a big shout out to Bill, Josh, Juan, and Martin!! Great, high quality work. I can sleep soundly at night knowing that brutal weather won’t be causing damage to my new windows and siding that were expertly installed. And a beautiful coat of high quality paint as well. After hiring and prior to job start date, an atmospheric river storm was pelting my wall and window with water leaking in fast. I called Josh for help and he came all the way to McMinnville from Portland late at night in the pitch black pouring sideways rain and before I knew it, the leak was patched to perfection! I am certain service like that is extremely rare these days. A Cut Above and their crew are top shelf!!

We developed a big problem when we were having our windows replaced at the beach. No surprise, water damage. Bill was very timely in meeting with us to review the issue and give us an initial quote. Bill also availed himself to us for any questions we had throughout the entire process. He connected us with Randy who was the PM and very helpful. Once Randy and Nikolai got on the project they were efficient and fast & very thorough. They worked with us for what we could do to help. The project was completed and looked great!

We recently had a complete update of our home's exterior (James Hardie siding, masonry work, gutters, paint) with A Cut Above Exteriors and we are extremely happy with the results.  Everyone on the team was professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and respectful.  They listened to our ideas for what we envisioned for our home and gave their guidance on how to achieve it.  We came into the process tentatively guarded due to a bad experience with a different contractor on a different home improvement project.  That previous project left us feeling dread about dealing with any more contractors. We met with several contractors for estimates on this project, but that feeling of dread still hung over our heads.  We were given estimates that didn't include the details regarding the materials being used, and some estimates left out items in the scope of work we requested!  No one left us feeling confident in their knowledge or ability for the scope of work we were requesting, until we called A Cut Above Exteriors.  From the get-go, when our consultant, Joe, came to our home, we felt our guard come down. He was very respectful, extremely knowledgeable, and we gained a bit of confidence with moving forward with the project.  We discussed specific materials that would be used on our home and Joe even brought us samples of the cultured stone that would be used so we could touch it, feel it, and choose a color.  As we met each member of the team, that confidence and feeling that we'd made the right choice in contractor to handle the work only grew.  Our project manager, Josh, was also very friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable.  He stayed in close communication with us throughout the project, from beginning to end.  Any question or concern we had was immediately addressed.  The siding crew, Nikolay, Rosty & Eugene, the masonry crew, and the painter, Vlad, were all amazing.  Each of them was respectful of us and our property.  Their workmanship was top notch.  Throughout the project, they cleaned up the property at the end of each workday, as well as at the end of the project completion. We've had neighbors come by to compliment the house, some of whom closely inspected the work. ;) Everyone has been extremely impressed by the high quality of craftsmanship and the attention to all of the little details on the project.  We would highly recommend A Cut Above Exteriors!

If I could sum up my experience (a complete siding job with James Hardie fiber cement siding) with A Cut Above Exteriors (ACAE) in one word it would be professional. This is an example of what dealing with any contractor should be. After much research I had decided to install the Hardie siding. I wanted to use a contractor who was familiar with the product and installed to James Hardie criteria and specifications. I went to James Hardie’s website and searched for contractors that are designated as Elite Preferred. ACAE popped up and had impeccable reviews. Starting with the sales person, Joe, he thoroughly explained what they would do for me. He was knowledgeable and personable. There was absolutely no pressure whatsoever. The bid was higher than the others but after researching (ACAE) and speaking with Joe, I was convinced they were the company for me. In this case, you really get what you pay for. I was introduced to Josh, the Project Manager. Once again, very knowledgeable and personable. Very easy to work with and communicated with me on a daily basis. When problems cropped up, he was always there to offer suggestions on how to proceed. His crew, led by Nikolay with Rosty and Eugene, did amazing work. The workmanship is impeccable; the crew was very organized and professional. They always made the worksite safe and clean; leaving everything spotless when they left at the end of the day. I can’t emphasize enough the quality of their work. It was just beautiful. The paint crew, led by Vladimir, once again did unbelievable work; totally transforming the appearance of an already exquisite job. Although color decisions were ultimately mine, Vladimir was always willing to offer a suggestion as to which color to use on a particular area. (I had selected four colors for the primary on the house, secondary for the house, trim and the doors.) These individuals collectively transformed my house (a basic ranch) into a home that I am proud to show off. In summation, I would highly recommend A Cut Above Exteriors if you want premium quality work on your home. You can probably get a siding job done cheaper but I truly believe you get what you pay for. There is nothing I can say negatively about the experience from the initial walk around with Joe, the actual installation with Josh, Nikolay, Rosty and Eugene and finally the painting with Vladimir and his crew. I would absolutely use ACAE again.
