Brought a Meile vacuum in for servicing the motor + a replacement head bearing on a Tuesday. Was told I'd get a quote by Wednesday, did not. I called them Thursday, they said I'd hear something by end of day as the vacuum 'was on the work bench'. Heard nothing until Saturday. I got a call with the total cost of ~$100 as the work was completed. Never approved anything, and didn't get any calls before that. Showed up the next Tuesday, the total came out to ~$130 as the estimate did not include the bearings, a bag, and filter. Vacuum works well now, communication did not. Will find another service center
