Universal Computers Bountiful

The owner, David, did a fantastic job of helping me recover my data. The pandemic had just started to affect our area and our laptop had stopped working and needed to be restored. However, I needed to recover most of the data before we could do the restore and our son needed our lap top for his virtual learning. Everything was explained and I was given a fair price. We will be going back the next time we need help with a computer and we will be recommending Universal Computers to our friends in the area.

My experience with Universal Computers - Bountiful was great. I chose them to help me purchase a new computer by recommendation from my friend. David was so helpful to talk to me and see what I use my computer for and get me what I need without having lots of things I don't use. I came to Universal Computers in Bountiful after being told by another local place that the hard drive to my old laptop was dead and that I had lost all my data. I really needed my files because they were for my business. The people at Universal Computers were not only ABLE to get my data from my hard drive but the gentleman there spent quite a bit of time patiently educating me and helping me clean up my files on my computer. I loved my experience there. They really know what they are doing. They are fairly priced for what they do and you will walk away feeling like this place appreciates your business. I highly recommend this company! They went above and beyond to consolidate data from my recently crashed desktop, and files from previous computers. Dave even saved a very old computer program that a previous company told me was unsavable, so I can use it again! Excellent trustworthy company, and knowledgeable service. You can trust them with all your precious pictures, files, and data. Dave went above and beyond to build me a cutting-edge, long lasting tower. Installing the programs I needed, including an automatic external backup drive. I wanted to leave a five+star review sooner, but I've been very ill.

We had an external hard drive that held our entire photo and video library and it was our ONLY copy. The drive started having issues and we brought it in for a diagnosis, only to find out that it had slowly been sustaining years of damage from overheat/overuse. Many files were inaccessible or unavailable to transfer to a different hard drive. Another computer repair place told us nothing could be done except to go through a data recovery company.
