We stayed here from Feb 5-11th 2026. Lori the GM runs a tight ship! Her hotel is clean, tidy, and staff is helpful and friendly. Huge shout out to the staff I got to know while being here Kaitlyn on nights was helpful, Al with maintenance helped with anything we needed, Carol was a very friendly housekeeper that helped with any needs as well. Anna on days helped me make the perfect ice coffee. Qurtney (hopefully I didn't butcher her name) was super nice and Logan was always busy working hard. The pool was great too.

I had a reservation at the Travelodge in Spearfish during one of the worst moments a parent can experience. The day before check-in, my daughter was sent to Denver Hospital, where I spent two nights dealing with a medical emergency. Calling a hotel understandably wasn’t my top priority.
When I arrived the second night to check in, the hotel manager had canceled my entire reservation without warning. After calmly explaining that I had been in Denver with my hospitalized child, I was met with rudeness, zero empathy, and outright refusal to help. No refund. No attempt to accommodate. No basic human decency.
Mistakes happen. Emergencies happen. What shouldn’t happen is a manager treating someone with complete disregard after hearing that a child was in the hospital. Policies are one thing—how you treat people is another.
I will be contacting corporate, and I will never stay here again. If you value compassion, professionalism, or even minimal courtesy, I strongly suggest staying elsewhere.

I contacted the 3rd party booking, they were more than willing to refund my money but said the hotel manager refused to refund my 2nd night. The hotel never tried making things right! I was told I had to rebook for the night you had canceled and pay again for my room. Keeping the 1st night's charge fine but to cancel my entire stay and keep the whole thing and telling the booking company you are keeping my money is WRONG!
Communication is key I get that but when my daughter was life flighted to a hospital calling the hotel was the least of my worries! I will be talking with my bank and telling them about this fraud as well as my email to corporate.
Pleasant front desk staff check in with ease. Older hotel but felt safe and clean. I appreciated the complimentary coffee and Tea in lobby. Breakfast options limited but they are limited on space as well so appreciate what was offered. Fair price and would stay again.
We had a wonderful stay. The beds were super comfy and the rooms were exceptionally clean. The check in process was quick. It was also down season so it wasn’t as busy. The price for what we got exceeded our expectations. Will definitely stay here in the future.
