The Painted Porch in Covington is hands-down one of the best spots in town. The atmosphere is charming and relaxed, with that perfect Southern porch vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. Whether you’re sitting outside enjoying the breeze or inside soaking up the cozy décor, it feels welcoming from the moment you walk in.
The food is outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell they really care about quality and consistency. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. The cocktails were also top-notch and paired perfectly with the meal.
The attention to detail makes the venue very welcoming. You can feel the care that is going into every corner inside or out. Attended a function there and the Owners managed every detail and they accommodated a large group with ease. I will book my own party there soon.
A Huge Thank You to Amy Nunez and The Painted Porch in Covington, Louisiana
We highly recommend Amy Nunez, the curator and creative heart behind The Painted Porch. My daughter and her now-husband admired the uniqueness of TPP for their wedding reception.
Under a canopy of twinkling garden lights and surrounded by timeless antiques acquired by the eye of Amy and her team, the space felt magical, a blend of charm and elegance that gave the evening the feeling of an elevated Southern garden party. Even when a “little” rain kissed the day, it only added to the magic, lifting spirits and wrapping everyone in the easy joy of a Louisiana evening.
The TPP team was able to create the vision under an incredibly short window of setup due to the afternoon showers. TPP went above and beyond to ensure that as guests arrived, it was as if there was no evidence of the afternoon showers.
In addition to the stunning gardens and incredible food, Amy’s husband, Clint, of Central Millworks New Orleans is a true artisan. His handcrafted cabinetry, custom furniture, and stunning wood tables pulled everything together into a beautifully tactile, soulful experience that delighted every guest, and set the stage for a beautiful charcuterie board loaded with local cheeses, meats, nuts, and more was a showstopper that greeted guests as they went into the most unique bar.
From the enchanting setting to the thoughtful details, every element was perfection. Our family and friends couldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous everything looked! Amy and her wonderful TPP team worked with such grace and joy, always smiling, always a step ahead making sure every guest felt welcome.
Cheers to Amy!
I would highly recommend her to any mother–daughter duo or anyone planning a wedding, special gathering, or corporate event. Amy, Clint, and the TPP team go above and beyond in every way, and their kindness, creativity, and Southern hospitality shine through it all
