Keeping It Real
Took in a MacBook that wasn’t turning on. They took a look at it and said it would not turn back on. Paid and left. Brought it home, plugged it in and it turned on and held battery. Took it to a place to retrieve the data from it, so as not to risk losing it, paid them only to be informed it was wiped clean. Please read the print on what you sign! Everything was gone.

Took a 2015 MacBook Pro in because it wouldn't start up. Was told the battery was swollen and needed to be replaced. Installed new battery, no change. After asking them for a refund due to the misdiagnosis I was told that there was nothing they could do. $75 for a misdiagnosis plus cost of battery and I'm right where I started. This is the work order, it has no mention of potential logic board malfunctions.
