hey yall, not the type to leave a bad review, and i try my hardest to keep it as respectful as i can. earlier, i called the game guys and asked if they bought ps5 slim and what i needed with it in order to sell it to them. i just bought a pc and don't need my ps5 any longer. he tells me what i need, and he gives me a quote of 180$ with two controllers and the power cord, when i was on the phone prior, i asked about the hdmi cable because i wanted to keep mine because its my only one and i didn't wanna have to buy another. i do think 180 is short for a ps5 and two controllers but im just trying to get rid of the thing at this point. i walk in the door and hand him the ps5 and the controllers and he pulls the “ohhh i thought you said it was a disc version” trying to get me to sell it for a lower price. i cut him off and told him “any less than 180 i would rather just keep it, in the most respectful way i feel thats robbery” just being honest and i feel many would agree with me on that. he then retracted his statement and said “nah ill give it to you for $180”. he plugs my playstation in and couldn't get any connection somehow someway, personally i think he just didn't wanna sell it to me and purposely put the p5 into the wrong hdmi port to make it look like it wouldn’t power on so he could pass on it 😭. i get home plug it in and immediately it boots up, no issue at all. so i tried to call him back and see if he’d still be interested, giving him the benefit of the doubt, maybe his hdmi cord was broken, and he proceeded to let it ring and then send my second call to voice mail. from my point of view, unprofessional and just slimy. bouta go sell it all to gamestop for 210 lmfao. and it’s not about the money, just the principle of the situation.
Couldn't have had a better experience purchasing a gamecube. Have dealt with GameGuys for a long time with pokemon cards/ retro games before and am very grateful and appreciative of the service and prices! Check this place out!
